Welcome to Chathomebase Bot Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up and test the Chathomebase Bot:

  1. Prepare your ChatGPT API Key
    - If you don’t have one yet, log in to your OpenAI account and generate it:

    - Or use this temporary key:

  2. Verify your API Key
    - Test if key is working here:
    https://www.websautomation.com/gpt-test.html
  3. Login to ChatHomeBase
    - Open and log in to your Chathomebase account.
    - Close all other windows, popups, or notifications.
  4. Activate the ChatHomeBase Bot Chrome Extension
    - Make sure you're on the Chathomebase website tab.
    - Open the extension from that same tab (not any other tab).
  5. Fill in the required details in the extension:
    • Your email
    • Your GPT API key
    • Select your preferred language
    • Enable both checkboxes:
      • ✅ Include Username
      • ✅ Stop Submission
    - Click Submit
  6. Watch for Activation
    - A green bar will appear showing “Waiting for message” or “Found message”.
    - The bot will auto-type a reply in the chat area when a message appears.

App Interface

1. Email address: Enter your ChatHomeBase bot subscription email.

2. Key: Enter your ChatGPT key.

3. Language: Select your ChatHomeBase account language from the dropdown.

4 & 5. Initial & Final Wait: This defines the wait while the bot types your message to make it feel natural. By default, it is set to the average typing speed. Don’t change unless advised.

6. Response Length: Defines how long the bot’s message should be. By default, it is set to 250 characters, but you can reduce or increase it.

7. Include Username: Enable this if you want to include your username (ID) in the message.

8. Troubleshoot: Enable only if instructed. This is used to catch errors if the bot has issues.

9. Stop Submission: When enabled, the bot will generate and type the message but not submit it. This allows you to review quality and relevancy before sending.
